Former Member

Dear All

my company have VPN tunnel with SAP. I have put niping, saprouter and saprouttab under saprouter folder. As per my understanding since this is VPN connection i don't need to apply for saprouter certificate. now i am trying to start saprouter with command saprouter -r but getting this message ...i have put sapdp99 3299/tcp, sapgw99 3399/tcp and sapmsO01 3601/tcp entries in /etc/services. still facing problem. any help would be appreciated. i have assign saprouter folder to <sidadm> insted of creating new admin user.

Hi,

Logon to the server host and then add the host entries in the file /etc/hosts.

Restart the router service as the <router admin user>.

This should solve ur issue.

Entries are well

Try running the command sap rising saprouter -R -S 3299

You must run the command with admin user, There should to be the same with you registered the certificate.

If don't work, then paste the DEV_ROUT file here.

I have not applied for any certificate since this is VPN connection not SNC I am right or do i need to ????

you're right, you don't need certificate

The DEV_ROUT is well, the saprouter should be up.

Now, have you tried connect to sap?

Try in the tCODE SM59, connection test to RFC SAP-OSS.

If this have error, paste DEV_ROUT here

Check the saprouttab

Example

  1. Access from the local Network to SAP

KP "p:CN=sapserv2, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE" 10.1.1.31 3299

The P* 194.39.131.34(sapserv2) is for SNC, for you must that use sapserv1 VPN worldwide.

In your saprouter PC, you can do ping to sapserv1 and It must to answer you

You must that Install Service Connector on your local PC.

Check the Note 486688 - Schedule VPN connection to SAP network maybe able to help

Ensure that there is no restriction between the client machine where the service connector runs and the machine where the SAP Router service runs.

I guess there should be some connectivity issue (may be firewall/antivirus settings) between these two machines.

Hi

Check the services file in path %windir%\system32\drivers\etc has the entry sapdp99 to port 3299,

run the netstat command to see that the port is not busy

check the service saprouter is started in windows services and check the user and password services are correct.

then run the command saprouter-r -S 3299,
