Alternative item group in BOM

Hi

I have question about alternative items in BOM. I have component A and component B - one alt group; ranking - A = 1 and B = 2; the same strategy = 2 and usage 100; during production order creating system check which material is available and set this one which is on.

My question is - is it possible to set system in this way that this availabilty control should be done only (or additionaly) during confirmation (any User Exit). Because we do not want to have reservation for B (if A is unavailable). We would like to set system in this way that component A has replacement as B and when we make an order confirmation system checks which of two is on the stock and if it is A system backflashed A if A is not available - system looking for replacement if B is on the stock it is backflashed if not - go to COGI.

So we would like to use functionality of alternative item group in BOM but with additionaly availabilty control during confirmation and without creating reservation for replacement.

Or maybe it is another system functionality to use for replacements (one component with for example two replacements, all three materials could be used to production).

Please run avail check on demand just before confirmation. then based on your strategy and usage 100 , system will replace A with B if A is not available.

the same should then appear in your confirmation screen,
