Hi,

I advise first to go through SAP APO Help on web and also go through Wiki pages for APO.

First it is advisable to understand functionlities in each of the main modeuls like DP, SNP, PPDS, GATP, SPP.

Hi SVS,

Frankly, I think, from your BI background perspective, you may have quicker ( from learning and mastering point of view), career growth in SAP Business Objects.

In APO , module with good interaction with SAP BI is DP and SNP.

Hello

As you have good exposure in BI , DP would be a good area to explore. Let me tell you , BPC is the area that might help you more in the long run.

In DP what is going to happen is you may have to read lot of functional processes and get yourself acquainted with mapping them to the system.

If you are bent on APO then spend sometime with DP. Before that first read Forecasting and if you google this word you can see lots of good sites. Please let me know if I can be of any help.

In addition to the suggestions given by the other gurus, Best Practices gives you a lot of nuts-and-bolt info.

BP for SCM web site is a little hard to find any more, unless you know where to look. Go to

http://help.sap.com/bp_scmv250/index.htm It has Business info, and it also has step-by-step config guides.

With your BI background, DP and SNP would probably be the quickest for you to get up to speed.
