PO Release Strategy when Net Value increases OR decreases

Hi Guys

Currently, the Release Strategy for POs triggers when the Net Value increases by >0. However, there is a requirement for the Release to re-trigger when the PO value either increases or decreases. Currently, reduction in Net Order Value does not trigger the release strategy to be re-invoked. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to have the strategy trigger for either scenario?

Many Thanks

Brett

    Hi Guys

Thanks for the feedback but this still only triggers when the Net Value goes up. Is there any way via an enhancement that it could be forced to kick in when the value goes down?

    • hi Brett,

In standard SAP system, system never takes the reduced value changes as i told above.

better check for enhancements along with the ABAP consultant...

As far as my logic is concerned, whenever you decrease the net value in the PO, there is no point in checking the PO again n releasing again because the price you maintained earlier is less than that of now..so it is assumed that its within the company's payment limit. so, sap wouldn't have provided...

secondly, you can have the price check in IR, if you pay and compare based on the PO.

or better use GR based IV indicator...so that system will take the GR updated price...

    Hi,

Normally the decreased value doesn't trigger the release strategy, if it is withinh limit of level of person resonsible for release which is std behaviour of SAP.Though you cntrol this with either release indicator or you can add version fiels as one of the character for release which whenever it trigger. or else you can set up for the increase vaue you use the CHANGEBILITY indicator given under the RELEASE INDICATOR settings.

Here use the indicator 4 or 6 as per your requirement, if req. precision then use the % value change field as well..

    Hi

    Spro -> MM >Pur -> PO--->Release strategy w/o classification ---> release indicator.

against the release group put release indicator 6

    Hi,

Set Changeability Indicator 6 {Changeable, new release if new strategy or value change/outputted} in Release Indicator during designing of release procedure for purcahse Order which act how purchasing document will behave after release when values are changes.
