Hi Friend,

Please check the below steps. U need to create the counting rule in system if not available. During SP application, some manual entries are required. Have tested this thoroughly and works fine. Please see the below steps for same and let me know if u are able to proceed.

1. Define Absence Type u2013 UICL

a) Check the Personal Subarea grouping already configured

In the Implementation Guide (IMG), choose Personnel Time Management 􀃆 Time Data

Recording and Administration 􀃆 Absences 􀃆 Absence Catalog 􀃆 Group Personnel Subareas

for Attendances and Absences

b) Define Absence Type

In the IMG, choose Personnel Time Management 􀃆 Time Data Recording and Administration

􀃆 Absences 􀃆 Absence Catalog 􀃆 Define Absence Types.

The Absence Type (UICL) should belong to the grouping that you had in the previous step.

2. Define Quota Type u2013 68

a) Define groupings for time quotas

In the Implementation Guide (IMG), choose Personnel Time Management 􀃆 Time Data

Recording and Administration 􀃆 Managing Time Accounts Using Attendance/Absence Quotas

􀃆 Setting Groupings for Time Quotas

Check the Employee Sub group grouping and Personal Subarea grouping

b) Create an absence quota type

In the Implementation Guide (IMG), choose Personnel Time Management 􀃆 Time Data

Recording and Administration 􀃆 Managing Time Accounts Using Attendance/Absence Quotas

􀃆Time Quota Types 􀃆Define Absence Quota Types

The Absence Quota (68) should belong to the grouping that you had in the previous step.

Else, copy absence quota 68 and assign it to the required grouping as in previous step.

3. Create Counting Rule:

In the IMG, choose Personnel Time Management 􀃆 Time Data Recording and Administration 􀃆

Absences 􀃆 Absence Catalog 􀃆 Absence Counting 􀃆 Rules for Absence Counting (New)

a) Employee Subgroup Groupings for Time Quotas

b) Personnel Subarea Groupings for Time Quotas

c) Define Counting Rule

Here check for counting rule 068. Also check if they belong to the grouping as set in the

previous steps a) and b). If the grouping for counting rule 68 is different from the one in

your system copy and configure it as required.

4. Assign Counting Rule to Absence Type :

Choose Personnel Time Management 􀃆 Time Data Recording and Administration 􀃆 Absences 􀃆

Absence Catalog 􀃆 Absence Counting 􀃆 Assign Counting Rules to Absence Types in the IMG

In case a new absence type was created in step 1 see that the counting rule of step 3 is assigned

to this absence type.

5. Create Deduction Rule

Choose Personnel Time Management 􀃆 Time Data Recording and Administration 􀃆 Managing

Time Accounts with Attendance/Absence Quotas 􀃆 Quota Deduction Using Attendances/Absences

􀃆 Define Deduction Rules for Attendances/Absences in the IMG

Here check for Deduction rule 068. If this does not belong to the grouping as required by you copy

the deduction rule and assign it to the required grouping.

6. Assign Deduction Rule to Counting rule :

Personnel Time Management 􀃆 Time Data Recording and Administration 􀃆 Managing Time

Accounts Using Attendance/Absence Quotas 􀃆 Quota Deduction with Attendances/Absences 􀃆

Assign Deduction Rules to Counting Rules in the IMG.

In case a new counting or deduction rule was created see that the deduction rule of step 5 is

assigned to the counting rule of step 3.

7. Accruing Absence Entitlements :

In the IMG, choose Personnel Time Management 􀃆 Time Data Recording and Administration 􀃆

Managing Time Accounts with Attendance/Absence Quotas 􀃆 Calculating Absence Entitlements 􀃆

Setting Up Methods for Quota Accrual 􀃆 Automatic Accrual Without Time Evaluation

Choose Determine absence quota type for Accrual

Check for absence quota type 68. See that the quota created in step 2 has the same configuration

as quota type 68.

8. Define Base Entitlement :

In the IMG, choose Personnel Time Management 􀃆 Time Data Recording and Administration 􀃆

Managing Time Accounts Using Attendance/Absence Quotas 􀃆 Calculating Absence Entitlements

􀃆 Rules for Generating Absence Quotas 􀃆 Set Base Entitlement

Choose Base Entitlement for absence Quota generation.

Check for Base entitlement rule 068. If this does not belong to the grouping as required by you

copy the Base entitlement rule and assign it to the required grouping.

9. Define generation rules :

In the IMG, choose Personnel Time Management 􀃆 Time Data Recording and Administration 􀃆

Managing Time Accounts Using Attendance/Absence Quotas 􀃆 Calculating Absence Entitlements

􀃆 Rules for Generating Absence Quotas 􀃆 Define Generation Rules for Quota Selection

Check Selection rule 068. If this does not belong to the grouping as required by you copy the

generation rule and assign it to the required grouping.

10. Validity/ deduction interval for absence quota type :

Click on validity/ deduction interval under the u2018Dialog Structureu2019 Tab of the previous step. Check

Validity/ deduction interval for absence quota type 068. Assign the same to the quota type created

in step 2.

11. Feature RUICL. :

Go to pe03. Maintain Feature RUICL. Check the Absence Quota type in feature RUICL. In case

a new quota was created in step 2 then maintain the feature with this new quota type. By

default the standard Unpaid Child Care leave quota type 68 has been maintained here.

Feature RCALT:

This feature determines whether the system must use the calendar year or the period of 12

months from the child's date of birth, to calculate the validity for infant care leave quota. By

default the return value of the feature is set to 0 u2013 Calendar year method.

Please refer to the user manual for detailed description on how to generate quotas using RPTQTA00.

Hope this helps.

Hi Viswa,

The same shoould be created by you with the help of the Process document.

Please see in the Note there is no correction code but a process document and object list.

The object list gets implemented when u apply the Note but through Process document you have to create each step 1 by 1 to achieve the result.

This should work.

Hi Rani,

RCALT Feature .

Please keep Cgrp 25 Under that return value as o

0: In this case, system uses calendar year to calculate the

validity for unpaid infant care leave Quota

o 1: In this case, system uses child's birth date to calculate the

validity for unpaid infant care leaves Quota. For example, f the

child's date of birth is 12 June 2008, the system uses the period

from 12 June 2008 to 11 June 2009.

My test results:

Gave leave on 01.04.2009 : System accepting the Leave though the leave is before the Date of Birth of Child as the Return value of Feature RCALT is 0 i.e calendar year.

Feature RUICL:

Under 25: 68/1

Leave applied from 01.04.2009 -08.04.2009

Total calendar days = 8 But absence days is 6.00.

Please let me know when u give leave from 01.04.2009-08.04.2009 then how many absence it is considering.

And also please kindly read the MOM website as it refers that in a calendar Year the number of leaves can be X.

http://www.mom.gov.sg/employment-practices/employment-rights-conditions/leave-and-holiday/Pages/infa...

Please share your understanding as to which part u need clarity.

Thanks
