0Costcenter_Attr enhancement

Hi All

I am enhancing 0costcenter_attr with 2 new fields. I have made the changes on R3 using RSA6 and tested in RSA3. All is fine.

Replicated mtedata to BW and the 2 fields show up in the field list for the datsource. However when I edit the transfer rules the 2 fields are not in the communications structure and I cannot insert them either. The comms struct is set to active and is not editable.

Back on the datasource I have noticed that the 2 new fields do not have the TRANSFER field checked. maybe this is the problem but I cant find a way of ticking them. I cant edit the datasource as it is 3.5 and the system offers me the option of editing the transfer rules only. What am I doing wrong ?

Hi,

For 3.5, whatever you are doing is correct.Pull that field from datasource into your transfer structure and actiavte it.It will uncheck that 'Transfer fields' option in datasource.

I have added them to the transfer structure. How do i add them to the comms structure. It wont let me edit the comms struct.

for transactional data : to change the comm structure in 3.5, i believe you need to add the two fields to the infosource...

for master data (directupdate) : you need to add the two fields as attributes to the master data and then they will automatically appear in the communication structure

Hello,

You can go to the change mode and add the characteristic to the Communication structure. Does the objects has been added to the 0COST_ATTR of BW in the attribute list.

Add required fields from datasource to transfer structure.

Goto Transfer Rules --> Transfer structure --> add fields.
