Hi,
As I understood a template does not apply also to the subreports of a report, and is not even possible to apply a template to a subreport(eg. from designer 'Template expert...' is disabled).
Is there any workaround solution? Or you just design the subreports manually?
Regards.
most subreports are jsut to retrieve data
u2022 to use in formuals as shared variables or
u2022 Data for the report are coming from more than one data source
u2022 Table joins cannot be used to retrieve the required records
u2022 Several views of the same data are required
generally created on the fly if needed.
there are no headers in the subreports to have a title, unless you create a fake header.
you can save a subreport outside on a network drive and then insert that into additional reports and consider that a template

A subreport can be built on the fly within a report or it can be imported.
YOu can build a report using the template and then import that into main report. However, as sharon mentioned SubReports do not have page headers. Thus if your template uses a page header this will be converted to a Report header.
You will then need to add a fakepage header group and then move your page header data into that group header.
