In order to print online from another company ,I have to run from their site the ActiveX Control .It runs the "Crystal Smart Viewer for ActiveX " and in the next step it gives me the gollowing error " ActiveX cannot create the object "webreportbroker.webreportbroker" ".

I have tried it also in other two PCs I have and it functioned .But not in this PC .

All Pcs have XP SP3 and IE8 .

What might be the problem and its solution ?

Also need to know what version of CR you are using?

And did you write the application and if so which dev too and what version?

Typically it's a permission issue and an ActiveX permission issue. IE8 is only supported in Legacy Compatability mode.

Use Process Monitor or some tool like it to see where you are getting Access Denied errors.

NO , I HAVEN'T WRITE THE APPLICATION .BUT I CONTACTED TO THE PROGRAMMER AND HE TOLD ME THAT THE DEV TOOL IS VISUAL BASIC AND THE VERSION IS 9 .

Hello,

IE 8 is not supported in CR 9. Try setting it to Compatibility mode. Then check with your developer so he can debug the issue.
