QM in production

Dear All ,

I want to use the QM functionallity in the production order (Discrete manufacturing ) , I want to do Quality after production and before doing GR .

I have maintained the Inspection type 04 in material master and set some data in routing , When i crete the production order the insopection lot was not created , What are the master data to be maintained and explain the process flow .

maintain inspection type 03 in qm view of material master.

when u create and production order and release it 03 inspection lot will be craeted.

when u confirm/ or create GR for production order 04 inspection lot will be trigerred

note: 03 inspection lot is non stock relevent.this inspection type is just for result recording purpose, it will not effect material stock

04 is stock relevemt inspection type, when gr is created stock will move to quality stock and after usage decision it will move to unrestricted.

1) Config - QM setting for that plant

1) Activate inspection type 03 in material master.

2) Create insp plan

Hi,

As u want to perform inprocess inspection after the actual completion of product & before the GR posting,so u need to activate the inspction type "03" in the QM view of material master.

ACTIVITIES

1. Maintain settings at plant level in customizing.

1. Maintain inspection type in QM view of material master.

1. create an addition operation at the end in the operation overview of ur task list.

1. Maintain QM control key(PP02) at QM operation in routing/ROS.

1. Maintain MIC, sampling procedures,sampling method (if required) in routing/ROS.

1. If you want frequency of inspection to be time based or quality, in that case u can make use of inspection point functionality

Activate inspection type 03 in material master.

Also in routing, maintain the inspection characteristics tobe tested at different inprocess operations.

For inspection after GR, already you have activated 04 insp type.Also create inspection plan with Tcode QP01.(usage 5)
