Universe designer hangs during structure refresh

Hi,

I have a very strange problem. I created multiple universes connecting to BW queries, all of them had characteristic fiscal year/period, and all worked like a charm.

But one Universe connecting to a BW Query on top of a DataStore Object, deosn`t work.

I created a query on top of a DSO.

created a universe connecting to that query

everything works.

I add a fiscal year/period characteristic to the said Query

Do a universe structure refresh, BO universe builder hangs.

Tried to create a new universe on the same query having the fiscal year/period characteristic, Universe designer hanged, produsing a trace file:

Tried removing fiscal year/period characteristic, adding a bunch of others, the refresh started working.

I`m stuck here. Any hint in to which direction to look for a solution would be greatly appreciated.

import the parameter using transaction SE38 and run program SAP_RSADMIN_MAINTAIN
