Error while creating multi-source universe in information design tool

Hi,

Getting below error while trying to create multi-source universe from client machine in IDT.

"this data source is not supported in multi source-enabled data foundations".

But I am able to create the universe on server directly using IDT.

Any Ideas

try with these steps.

Resolution for cause 1:Make sure APS that contains data federation service is up and running.

Resolution for cause 2: Create a new APS contains data federation service.

Resolution for cause 3:

1. Log into the Central Management Server (CMC).
2. Stop the APS contains data federation service.
3. Under Host Identifiers, Select Hostname.
4. Enter the machine name where the Adaptive processing server installed.
5. Start the Adaptive processing server.
