inspection lot not generated

hi,

we have moved all the cr to a new environment , at the old environment all inspection type we needed was generated automatically by the right material movement (origin 01,08,04).

now we cant get any inspection type open by a material movement only manually.

also we have tried moving the stock to qi and failed( the inspection lot wasn't open and we received an error qa495).

we checked OMJJ and all the basic setting of QM and it is well maintained.

does anyone have a solution?

If your are trying to load stock to a new environment, turn of all QM in the material master for all inspection types on all materials being loaded.

Load your stock directly to QI.

then use QA08 to turn on the 01, 08's, 04 for all your materials. If your plant config settings have the standard 0800 inspection type defined for initial load then all the stock in QI will have inspection lots created for them.

Make sure to click on "create change records" when running QA08.

Have you made the correct settings in QCC0 Movement Type/Update Control/Inspection Lot Origin?

Also, in terms of the error you got - do you have the 08 Inspection Type setup in the Material Master of the material you are trying to move? Or if you have an initial load of data, you may need to use 0800.
