Data being truncated at 255

Hi team, using Crystal Reports 2016 with an excel 2013 data source, data is still being truncated at 255 even after modifying the registry setting 'TypeGuessRows' to 0 per (https://apps.support.sap.com/sap/support/knowledge/public/en/1865522). I rebooted after the registry update and deleted the existing data connection and tried with a blank report/new connection but no joy, still truncating at 255. Any advise would be appreciated!

What type of data source are you using for Excel? If it's not an ODBC data source, it's not going to work correctly with this version of Excel.

Hi, thanks for responding. I used OLE DB (ADO) with Provider Microsoft Office 15.0 Access Database Engine OLEDB. When I tried using ODBC, I received a 'Logon failed' error: Details: HY000:General erro: Invalide file dsn " [Database Vendor Code: 556 ]. Again appreciate the assistance! Kind regards, Kate
