How Fowrarding Agent get Determined in Delivery?

Former Member

Hi Gurus,

I have a delivery which forwarding agent is different from Forwarding agent showed in Sales Order. For example, in Sales Order partner function I have Mr. A as forwarding agent. But, I got forwarding agent as Mr B when I create delivery.

I want to know how SAP determine the forwarding agent in delivery. This delivery has no route therefore it's not determined from route too. Is there any configuration on this? or Is there any user exit that I could check for this?

Please suggest.

Thanks

Pavin

Hi Pavin,

I think it is the main reason for this issue is based on the copy control for sales order to delivery please check whether partner your item copy control data transfer routine is maintained properly or not from the VTLA t-code.

Additionally, you can define your partner as default from sales area partner in customer master from xd02.

I hope this will be useful for you.

To all,

Problem is solved. I found that in Sales Order forwarding agent is maintained differently in header and item level. Therefore, delivery picks up forwarding agent from item level.

Thank you for your help. Point rewarded.

It looks user exit might be influencing the partner determination.

Check the funciton module EXIT_SAPLV09A_004 and exits EXIT_SAPLV09A_004 and EXIT_SAPLV09A_003.

Hi,

I already check user exit you mentioned but I can't find anything related to my case. Is there anything I should check more?

hello, friend.

the priority for service agent determination, per SAP documentation, as follow -

The forwarding agent in the shipment header can therefore be specified in a number of ways (options listed in descending order with regard to priority):

1. You can enter it manually.

2. You can enter it indirectly by specifying a route.

3. You can copy it from the deliveries (if it is unique and if the corresponding Customizing settings have been made).

4. You can adopt it from the route that has been copied from the deliveries into the shipment header.

for the uniqueness as mentioned above, please look into the Basic Functions under Transportation in IMG.

regards.
