IDX5 IDoc monitor in sender / receiver

hi experts,

many threads are having no conclusion in the past on the typical problem in IDX5. i.e. the error

Error for the remote call of method RSEIDOC2_CALL_VIA_RFC_DOCNUM in system XXXXXXXX, message Control Framework: Fatal error - GUI cannot be rea.

Message no. IDOC_ADAPTER840

Is there no resolution to this issue?

It would be a great feature to tell the users more details in terms of business data but i am always stuck with the IDoc numbers & status since the Monitor feature always results for me in the same error mentioned above for all systems in the landscape...

any pointers?
