Hello PM Gurus,

We are using ECC5

In MCI4 report, the cost of the following column reads zero:--

The selection parameter entered are: Planner Group, Maintenance Plant and Period to analyze (Month = space to 08.2010)

Below is the output.

-Notification created = 66

-BrkdnRptd = 0

-Ordrscrtd = 55.666

-TotalPlnndCosts = 4444.222,11 USD

-Total act. Costs = 3333.444,55 USD

-Int. wage costs = 0

-Ext. wage costs = 0

-Internal material = 0

-External Materila = 0

-Service = 0

Please let me know what need to be checked and to be done so that the column should display the data in-stead of "zero".

I am not having good exposer to PMIS reports.

Appreciate your step wise help.

Thanks in anticipation.

Regards,

Ganesh

Dear Ganesh,

If the value categories are not configured you will have to do it and then attach to the cost key figures in PMIS. These value categories will be assigned to various cost elements or groups by your CO consultant. These value categories will represent various types of costs like material, internal activity, external service etc, if not configured or attched to cost key figures the values will be 0.

You will find this under Settings for display of costs in basic settings in maintenance and servcie processing. Please also verify that these value categories are getting populated in maintenance order as well.

Hello Niraj,

As per your suggestions I checked the following SPRO settings:

1.Value Categories are configured for; 'A1' & 'A2' as Internal Labour, 'B1' as Material and 'S1' External Services. Radio button selected is Cost, but UoM field is blank.

2.Cost Elements are assigned to Value Categories (Transaction OIK2) for:

Internal Labour A1 (settings in Contents: From cost elem. <A0000001> To Cost Element <space>, Cost Elemen. Group <space>)

Internal Labour A2 (settings in Contents: From cost elem. <A0200001> To Cost Element <M0100001>, Cost Elemen. Group <space>)

Material B1 (settings in Contents: From cost elem. <space> To Cost Element <space>, Cost Elemen. Group <MATERIAL>)

External Services S1 (in Contents: From cost elem. <space> To Cost Element <space>, Cost Elemen. Group <SERVICES>)

3.To verify whether these Value Category are getting populated, I checked in Cost tab of the order is this correct way to check.

Please let me know what else is to be done.

Appreciate your help.

Ganesh

Hello Gurus,

Thanks for the guidance, but unfortunately today the system is not available because of some planned refresh activity.

I'll update you on Monday, Sep. 6, 2010.

Meanwhile, yesterday I noticed that, in SPRO, "Allocation of value categories to cost key figures":

Only customized Cost Key Figures (Starting with ZZ)were allocated to Value Categories.

There was no standard Cost Key Figures (Starting with I) allocated to Value Category.

Is this causing problem? and if Z-Cost Key Figures are assigned then what are the other setting to be checked.

I'll reconfirm once the system is available.

Please treat this thread as open thread.

Thank you,

Regards,

Ganesh

Hi

Please check below SPRO Path

1)Plant Maintenance and Customer Service -> Maintenance and Service Processing -> Basic Settings -> Settings for Display of Costs -> Maintain Value Categories

2)Plant Maintenance and Customer Service -> Maintenance and Service Processing -> Basic Settings -> Settings for Display of Costs -> Assign Cost Elements to Value Categories

3)Plant Maintenance and Customer Service -> Maintenance and Service Orders -> Functions and Setting for Order Types -> Costing Data for Maintenance and Service Orders -> Assign Costing Parameters and Results Analysis Keys

Hello Rakesh,

I checked the SPRO setting Assign Costing Parameters and Results Analysis Keys, but no key was maintained.

And you suggested to check in S065 Table but could you please explain how to check the details, In my case I executed the Table and found that Month, Date, Week and Period etc are coming zero.

Hi

Please maintain The Your Z-Valuation Costing Variant in below path for each of your Order Type.

Plant Maintenance and Customer Service -> Maintenance and Service Orders -> Functions and Setting for Order Types -> Costing Data for Maintenance and Service Orders -> Assign Costing Parameters and Results Analysis Keys

For Both Fields

Planned Var. Cal.: Z12

Actual Var.Cal. : Z12

Hello Rakesh,

Thank you for replying, but there is some confusion as you wrote on Sep 6 about the Z-Value-Categories.

But I am talking about Z-Cost Key Figures.

As you know in my case only TotalPlnndCosts and Total act. Costs are populating for MCI4.

Please confirm if the changes u told are really needed! and if needed after changing do we've to run any transaction to update like OMOS......

Hello Gurus,

My issue is still unresolved, I changed the configuration setting for, Information Systems for Plant Maintenance and Customer Service --> Assign Value Categories to Maintenance Cost Key Figures.

I've assigned Value Categories to standard Cost Key Figures (Labor, material and services).

After doing this I've executed the updating transaction OLPM. But still the report MCI4 is NOT showing any values for the internal labor, material and services.

Please help me out to resolve this issue.

Which setting I am lacking!

Regards,

Dear Ganesh,

Please check the consistency of value categories in OIVC, asiignment of cost elements to these should be green, if this is green than check the allocaton of value categories from your controlling area to cost key figures in Information system for PM & CS, all the value categories you are using should be assigned to some cost key figures. Also check in the Order cost tab in cost that the value categories are gettin populated. Please also verify with CO consultant that right cost elements/groups are assigned to value categories.

Thanks & Regards

Hello Niraj,

In our system, Value categories are maintained and assigned to Cost Element OR Cost Element Groups.

Here I've observed that for some Value Categories FROM Cost element is maintained only and for some both FROM and TO Cost Element are maintained.

And for consistency of Valoue Categories: There are green lights for Assigned Cost Element and some Not Assigned Cost Element also.

Regarding Cost Key Figures: There are Z-Cost Key Figures assigned to the above maintained Val. Categories. There are NO standard Cost Key Figures assigned to Val. Categories. I think this is the main reason of the issue. Could you please provide me where I can see those Z-Key Cost Figure.

Are Standard Cost Key Figures are necessary?
