Scheduling for Production Order's Operation

Hi all,

I have question about scheduling in operation for routing. I want to manage scheduling for each operation in production order.

control key : pp02, already tick for scheduling and external operation scheduling..

in OPU3, maintained detailed scheduling for order type

Then i create production order, i run the scheduling, for example i have two operation :

10 Internal operation Labor : 60minutes

20 Ext Operation in routing : planned delivery time : 2 days (i assume here is the time scheduled for external operation)

Scheduling margin key 000 and checked at routing master data no tear down, break, etc time that will effect internal operation 10

Basic start date for example 01.09.2010 and forward scheduling.

Schedule date in header pro is 01.09.2010 time 07.00, end 08.08

my question :

1. Why my external operation is not included in scheduling? How to maintain it properly, anything i missed or incorrect maintained?

2. What is the 8 minutes come from in scheduling time ? I expect the scheduled time end at 08.00

3. Any clue to check report in standard COOIS for operation, i want to know detailed for each operation date and time start and end. What field should i choose?

4. A bit out of topic, in standard COOIS if we choose operation, we can see the detailed about operation data. But i cant see material code because it is in order header. Is it possible to check in one layout of COOIS the material in operation lay out ?

Thanks

    Dear Arman,

the Scheduling external operation parameter is not maintained for the control key, the operation end date is calculated in days based on the planned delivery time entered. The dates for the following operations are then determined with reference to this operation end date

For external operations, you have the following scheduling options:

You can include external operations based on the data entered for them in order scheduling. This results in the dates for the following operations being scheduled with reference to the duration of the external operation.

The system can calculate the operation end date in days based on the planned delivery time entered. The dates for the following operations are then determined with reference to this operation end date.

There are 2 types of scheduling, Basis date and Lead time .

Lead time scheduling cosider routing time and basis date scheduling consider material master time

If you want to consider routing time in that you can run MRP (MD01/Md02) with the help of lead time scheduling .

      Hi, thanks for your reply.

I check in control key and i untick the scheduling external operation.

I create new production order with co01 with forward scheduling on 10.09.2010 and it ended on the same day. I have 3 external operation with planned delivery time total 10 days. I expect it end at 20.09.2010.

Any further setting should i make?

And if i tick scheduling external operation it said use standard value key for the scheduling, any brief explanation how to work with this ?

      Regards,

      Arman

Dear find the answer of your question :

Why my external operation is not included in scheduling? How to maintain it properly, anything i missed or incorrect maintained?

SAP R/3 does not have any opertunity to consider the capacity requirement planning for external operation which is sub-contratced and consuming available capacity of external work centre .If you want to consider the same then you need to go ahead with SAP SCM-APO module .Even in operation control key -PP03 does not have detail Capacity Check .But if you mark Scheduling external operation -check box in Define Control Key -OPCG , then it will consider the Planned delivery Time and schedule operation.

    2. What is the 8 minutes come from in scheduling time ? I expect the scheduled time end at 08.00 : Check the actual Start date , start time as per the Work Centre **** and Standrad Available Capacity Time in CR02-Work Centre -Capacity Header .How ever , you can select the operation in Productionb Order , Dispatch , and then double clik on line item , goto Dates ( after dispatching only it will change mode ) , change the time as per end time .Otherwise do it through CM31/CM21

    3. Any clue to check report in standard COOIS for operation, i want to know detailed for each operation date and time start and end. What field should i choose? : Goto COOIS -Select Operation -Select Stand Profile -enetre Plant /Order Type ( if you have order also you can enter here ) and exectute .Select the Chnage Lay out option on header-Select the Filed like Earliest Start Date /Time and also Earliest End Date /Time ( all this time will be there in your operation date tab -detail operation overview screen in PO)

    4. A bit out of topic, in standard COOIS if we choose operation, we can see the detailed about operation data. But i cant see material code because it is in order header. Is it possible to check in one layout of COOIS the material in operation lay out ? : Yes .You have to follow the Question 4 and play around with Drag and drop from Change Lay out option as per your requirement .

    Hope this is clear

    Regards

    JH

All PP Expert, any thought ?

      I try to summarize :

      1. Some of my requirement for external processing operation can be done only for 1-2 hours, it doesnt suitable if i maintained with 1 day of planned delivery time. Is there anything i could use for this?fyi I don't need to maintain capacity planning here, Just scheduling time.

      2. In in house operation, i maintained 60 mins for labor time. I have print screen my operation detail date. fyi i don't put another time instead of processing time for labor 60 min. I don't understand where 8 minutes excess come from.
