disp+work stopped in sql database windowsNT 5.2 Service pack1 server

Hello Gurus,

in my windows XI Server im facing a problem ,the disp+work is not starting (stopped),remaining all services are started .while i tried to execute r3trans -d its giving the following error:

You are getting the above error while R3trans -d because the required environment variables are not set properly. Are you using user <sid>adm to execute the command?

ERROR => SncInit(): Missing profile paramter "snc/identity/as" N [sncxxpar0614] 

you have enabled SNC but not all profile parameters are properly set. This will prevent system to start.

you have to set this properly.

  Provider SQLNCLI could not be initialized 

SQLNCLI need to be installed for MSSSQL 2005. But this is just a warning

and please let me know one thing is it required to set that envirinment variable also?

but i did nt get u exactly for snc settings could you please suggest me how can i enable that.but our consultant logged in

through admin user is there problem for that?

Which OS user you are using?

You need this parameter set in the environment while calling R3trans -D. user <sid>adm usually have this.

but our consultant logged in through admin user is there problem for that?

you have to use <sid>adm user not the administrator

Sry for late response i have done it through sidadm also still same problem im getting,i tried to check connectivity to database also by executing r3trans -d its giving returncode 12 .i think some problem with database connectivity but my database is ms sql server.i dnt know how to check this one and hgow to solve this one ,could u please help me to do this.

Yes. your database connection is ok

You need to comment parameters starts with 'snc/' in your instance profile and then try to restart the instance.
