BI 7.2 FEP 200 Error after installation on MS Excel 2010

HI,

Error occured after install SAPGUI Bi addon 7.20 Patch 200 (FEP) on MS Excel 2010. (file bi720sp02_200-20006596.exe, note 1435529)

When I go to Program -> Business Explorer -> Analyzer, an Excel pop up, click on the Bex Toolbox ("xxxBEx Analysis Toolboxxxx")

Open icon, an foreign language label show "Offnen" , double click, no response.

Move over other icon show like German "Sichern" "Atkualisieren" "Werkzenge".

The Macro security level is set to lower, MS Excel 2010 with last updates.

Try on 3 diferrent comp's, result the same.

On BI 7.20 FEP 100 everithing working fine.

Do you have an idea how can fix this?

Thanks!

Matt Stidham Fix worked a treat! Thanks

      PROBLEM

We had Gui 7.20 patch 7 installed and deployed to a few users but due to some complications we had to roll back to Patch 0, this caused an issue with all the machines as the Bex Analyser wouild not operate as expected. The Excel Add-In would appear in German and not load the required components.

      FIX

I removed the Sap Gui Patch 7, ran the registry fix to remove the keys then installed Sap Gui Patch 0. Worked a treat and stopped me from driving MAD! 😊

      **INFO**

I had to adjust the registry keys supplied by Matt Stidham by adding a "\" between the "CLSID" and "{" to get them to remove the desired keys.

All the other posts kept referring to MS Patch KB907417, .net 1.1 and 2.0 sp1. Sadly none of these worked for me.
