Hello,

I am getting this error while creating Asset Master data (AS01).

I followed the procedure as per the error message diagnosis (FAA_CMP) with no luck.

Any suggestions/help is highly appreciated.

I faced the same issue and also performed the same steps.

After running the balance carry forward program (as advised by Mark) FY 2019 is updated and I am able to create Asset in AS01.

I completed two IMG activities as suggested by you for my Company Code. In Legacy Data Transfer tab, I entered the Transfer Date as 31.12.2018 and changed Legacy Transfer Status to “Completed”. I specified an Offsetting GL against my COA.

The Closed Fiscal Year now shows 2018 in OAAQ.

When I am trying to create Asset Master again in my Company Code, getting the same error as before:

“Posting not possible in Company Code XXXX, specify open Fiscal Year”

“Errors occurred for Asset XXXX (Company Code) in Fiscal Year 2019.

Am I doing something wrong here or any other IMG activity needs to be completed along with this?

Any help is highly appreciated and thanks again.

Hello,

You have to do the below configuration even if you are not migrating old assets or doing go-live.

SAP Customizing Implementation Guide (SPRO) -> Financial Accounting -> Asset Accounting -> Asset Data Transfer -> Parameters for Data Transfer

Complete the below two steps:

1. Define Transfer Date and Additional Parameters

2. Specify Offsetting Account for Legacy Data Transfer

After doing these two steps, check the Company code closed fiscal year status in OAAQ. If you find the closed fiscal year, then you can try once again.
