How to publish HTML iview when I click on HELP function url links

Dear Friends,

When I click on Help URL, syetms opens Netweaver Help. How to customise means should open Customised Help or a Document when I click on this url.

Below the second level navigation, system displays

| Open in New WindowOpen in New Window | PersonalizePersonalize | HelpHelp | DetailsDetails | Add to Portal FavoritesAdd to Portal Favorites

In the above links need only Personalize that too it should appear only for Registerd Vievers

So finally my page should disply Personalize| Cutomised Help|Logout

Thanks in advance

if you use some search you get more information/threads for this

    1) you can change help link URl by changing the property of masthead iview(url link to help) in Content administration, default framework page. if you want to display your own document, then that document should be placed in server.

    2) not clear, which system showing second level navigation and where you are getting all these (open new window) . its on a right click of any object? generally in portal only registered users can access to second level navigation

    regards

    Mahesh

    Hi Rakesh,

To customize the options shown in the second level navigation (that is actually page title bar in SAP parlance), that should be done in Page title bar iView that is a part of the default framework page. You need to have administrator permissions to customize the properties of this iView. Then you can change the relevant properties you wish to and specifically you can hide the options by using the SHOW 'ITEM' Option property in the iView.

    Hope it helps.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Gourav

    Hi Rakesh ,

Like Gaurav mentioned , you can hide these options using the properties of Page Title Bar iview . Now to give only a certain set of options to end users(like help , logout) , first take a copy of your default framework page . Now in this modify the properties of the iview . Create a desktop , place the modified framework page inside it and assign this desktop to whosoever you want through main rules file . This way the a set of users will get to see a limited number of options only .

    Regards

    Mayank
