Hi

There will be no impact on open orders, deliveries & billing documents as the hirearchy is pulled by system only at the time of sales order material entry.

The impact of changing may be as follows:

1.Since the hirearchy updated in transactions would differ from master, reports might give you incorrect pictures.

2.If CO-PA is implemented than the data in CO is normaly pulled basis the hirearchy and hence this might impact profitability reports of CO-PA.

Pls revert

Hi,

Not an easy task.

It can involve the following steps.

1. Define the levels, number of characters, and create all the levels of PH in say xls sheet with their descriptions

2. Map the old PH levels with the new PH levels.

3. Find out the open sales orders, or other transactions also, which are not yet complete (say invoiced) and get a dump of their PH for all the line items.

4. Now you can create an LSMW for uploading the PH nodes in configuration in V/76

5. You have to create a program to change the Old PH to New PH of the valid transactions you have selected and execute the same to change the same.

6. If needed, you may have to retrigger the output types if any.

But the amount of data, the number of levels will decide the complexity of the issue and hence it should be a planned effort with a proper Project plan and duration.

Better to do it during lean business hours / week ends etc.
