Extend Sap Fiori Inbox Details View

Dear Experts

We need to create new Fiori app that will trigger WF . (we are using sap fiori inbox)

At the third level approval , the approver need to insert some values in the details view to update order in the (backend) and after that he will approve or reject .

Can we create HTML input fields in the details view using /IWPGW/ES_TGW_TASK_DATA

and then get those data in IF_WF_WI_BEFORE_UPD_IB~BEFORE_UPDATE

by reading IT_APPL_CONTAINER_TAB & what is the use of this (IT_APPL_CONTAINER_TAB) in this badi ?

if we need to extend our application which is fully custom app , how are we going to pass the data from the custom view to this badi (IF_WF_WI_BEFORE_UPD_IB~BEFORE_UPDATE) to make the requird update ?

what are the steps needed to make view extensions only for level three approval and not others without impacting any thing in the current solution ?

Hi Mufeed,

Could you share the business scenario? What is the document? Which field should be updated?

How about developing update order app? It can be used without approval flow.

It will be simple if you separate the task for approve and update order.

The Process is full custom process , to approve or reject employee exit fee , it will initiate by the employee then it will go the secretary where he will input/update cost center or project number or what ever which will be validated by the system and then he can approve or reject .Then it will go the HR and after approval Payroll . The employee dont know this information(CC,WPS,etc.) and some people work remotely they dont even know the secretary and how they will get this information .

So update these values is a must before running the payroll for this employee at the end of this process .

i have not see any body implement such scenario on fiori my inbox although iam very sure that it is possible but i dont know how to do it ^_^ .

Also , i dont know wither the solution i put in the first post is possible or not .

Regarding creating update request app , what we need is central place and not to make multiple app for each approver .

i hope you can help me is any way to enhance my inbox to handle this requirement .

Hi Mufeed,

My understanding is that the secretary should update correct cost center or project number, right?

So the secretary probably use desktop PC most of the time.

Easy solution can be using open task from My Inbox. You can open WebDynpro Approve Shopping Cart or other SAPGUI for HTML which has functionality updating the cost assignment.
