Problem with HANA System Replication initialization

Hi everyone,

we are trying to setup a system replication between two HANA instances. (One is primary/active & Second is my DR/passive)

SITE_A

# HANA SPS 110 hosted on DATA CENTER 1 (DELHI NCR) # DB SIZE : 260 GB

SITE_B :

# HANA SPS 110 hosted on DATA CENTER 2 (South India)

Both Instance are at different data center & connected with VPN tunnel @10 MBPS speed.

ISSUE / PROBLEM

Replication Setup is successful & initializing of standby database with full copy of primary is also started.

After some time (Not regular interval) initialization of database droped & restart from 0.

Re-initialization of Database is irregular sometime it happens after 5 GB some time after 80 GB or sometime after 150 GB

We observed some 1 or 2 RTO during DROP.

QUESTION

Is Hana replication not able to handle few RTO during initiation ?

What is best possible way to configure HANA replication in our environment ?

    Hi,

I have seen something similar before where it was failing because one of the services is restarting on the secondary system most likely indexserver

Check the indexserver trace files on the secondary site and see if it is constantly restarting
