MOpz is unable to calculate the support packs

Hello ,

We are in process of upgrading our R/3 3 47 system to ECC 6 EHP4.

We have to use maintenance optimizer to download the .xml file required

for target stack in the EHP_INCLUSION phase.

When we try to select "Automatic selection in MOPZ"

we get the error message "ABAP queue check failed The

Installation/Upgrade Package for Add-on ABA_PLUS rel. 100 is not

available "

Our R/3 is 4.7 having SAP_ABAP -21 , SAP_BASIS -57, ST_PI _2005-8 .

We have gone through Note 626311 - Additional information on

installation of ABA_PLUS 100.

SAP Note 650974 - Release strategy of the add-on ABA_PLUS 100

In this note it says that

"Making the ABA_PLUS 100 add-on available

The installation CD for ABA_PLUS 100 is not automatically sent to all

customers. Request the CD with the material number CD51020025 for your

subsidiary."

We have verified,it is not available on service.sap.com.

I have done the all configuration through solman_setup.

question is do i have to go some extra configuration for maintenance optimizer.

Please suggest.

Problem is upgrade radio button is missing. there is only one maintenance button .

Do i have to change in smsy about the system also?

Hello,

The fact that there is no 'upgrade' button is indeed an issue. Have you tried implementing notes 1415315, 1452118 and 1461849 in your Solution Manager system?

in SMSY go to your system ID and goto the header tab and click on "installed product version" there make sure the product your 'system to upgrade' is listed there and is the only lead product ticked, make sure its not ECC system selected. save this and then goto MOPZ and go through the procedure, you should see maintenance and upgrade option, click upgrade and select what functional usage your target system is for.

What is the release of your Solution Manager? Maintenance Optimizer as of SP22 only supports addon components based on EHP2 for Netweaver.

If the package is not possible to download from the SAP Service Marketplace , it is not possible to calculate the queue with Maintenance Optimizer.

Maintenance Optimizer should let you install the EHP4 for ERP 6 without the ABA plus , and then you should order the CD and install this addon with SAINT.

Hi,

You should be able to get EHP packs from SolMan. In MOPZ make sure you have selected "upgrade" rather than Maintenance. from upgrade, click "find download files", select your stack level, you then need to select the function usage you will use the SAP system for (your app consultants should tell you this) and from that point forward it will tell you what packs you need, select your packs and there should a button to verify queue and that will tell you any dependancies you need to download too, so go back and get those and then re-verify queue.

If you need the XML file then that should be in your EPS/in directory, only after you have a valid queue and you have confirmed the files in your download basket from MOPZ.

As mentioned, any new packs install with SAINT seperately and you may need to apply the additional sp level packs afterwards for that support pack. if it needs approval then simply open new MOPZ transaction and just skip every step until you get to the point of confirming your files and download them from your download basket.
