Dear Gurus,
I have a requirement regarding Calendar in web ui.
Requirement is:
Regional Manager wants to see all his sales reps calendar. But sales rep cannot see his manager' calendar and other colleagues calendar. Sales rep has to see only his calendar.
How can I achieve the above requirement. Is there any authorization object to restrict the calender or any customization.
Please reply urgently.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks
Mahesh Babu
Any update on this ??

Hello,
Please try transaction SSC1 (win client) and then click F6.
User can allow or deny view to his calendar.

Hi Rafikoza,
Thanks for your reply. This setting is to provide own calendar view to other users. My requirement is to restrict the access of field ' Open Colleague's Calender' (either disable the field or restrict the access) from Calender work centre in Web UI.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks
Mahesh
Hi Mahesh,
I think Rafikoza is correct since you need to restrict only certain users who will not be able to see their manager calendar.
The manager can put his sales rep user id with No authorization in txn ssc1.
Removing the workcenter link will be generic for all sales rep, so if you want the functionality that no sales rep would be able to see their manager calendar in that case only you can follow the solution provided by Amar.
Thanks,
Shobhit
Hi Shobhit and Amar,
I am using calendar functionality for visit plan. If I remove calendar work centre link, then how could sales rep will see his own visit plans in the calender.
Sales rep has to navigate to Calender to complete his visit plans and Sales Manager wants to see his subordinates calender (ofcourse, we can achieve this through settings in SSC1), but how could we restrict sales rep to open colleague's calender, this is my concern.
Thanks
Mahesh
Mahesh,
Sales Mgr:
Role = ROLE A
Own Calendar Work Center: YES
Open Colleague's calendar : YES
Sales Employee:
Role = ROLE B
Own Calendar Work Center: YES
Open Colleague's calendar: NO
( it's a BUTTON and NOT a workcenter link!!!. If you are familiar with disabling of buttons, then in the view of the Calendar, in IF_BSP_WD_TOOLBAR_CALLBACK~GET_BUTTONS you can disable the button checking for role of Sales Employee.)
Hope this helps.
JD
Mahesh,
One option is to implement ACE to control authorizations like these. But before that, you may have to explore to see if you can achieve this through authorization objects or business roles.
