Counter with exception aggregation : Variation in result sets

Hi Friends,

I am facing a situation where I get a difference in count when a cast is applied on the count value of a counter column.

To identify the reason behind this occurence , I have taken an id column which has multiple names assigned to it and i basically want the distinct count of the id column.

When the counter value is read directly we get the right result as 1 for the counter but when the counter value is casted to a big integer or integer this leads to a shift in the aggregation to the name column.

I have attached detailed snapshots covering all the scenarios , experts please provide your recommendations on what could be the cause of this issue.
