spam/saint update

Dear sir,

i have spam/saint version currently of 6.40/17.

i want to update it .

should i go for update one by one(like 18,19....26) or can i go randomly(17 to 26).

also please suggest path for download.

i tried it but i am getting just info page option not download option.

Can you tell me the reason why you are trying to update to 6.40/018 when 6.40/036 and 038 are available?

If don't have dependencies on target version you can apply directly 036 or 038 directly, no need to apply one-by-one. No dependencies on the present versions, so you can't find the downloads for the previous versions in SMP, only 36 and 38 are available. So you can apply directly.

In the info page you can find Support Packages link in the top left. Goto that link to download the latest SPAM/SAINT version.

You DO NOT need to update it one by one, just update the latest version.

regarding ABAP support packages, you should update it one by one.

actually i tried to download 6.40/0018 patch but i am not getting on marketplace.

info page is there but not download option.

You don't need to apply SAINT/SPAM sequentially. You can directly apply the latest one for 6.40.

So in your case - No need for 18, apply 26/27 directly which ever is currently available.

I guess, this is the reason why SAP doesn't keep the older ones for downloads

Hi Satish,

The SPAM/SAINT update is cumulative irrespective of the othe ABAP patches. You can download the latest one available in the SAP SMP for your version(I've checked for you and the latest version available is SAPKD64038) and then apply that in the transaction SPAM. It is always good to go with the latest SPAM/SAINt update.

it is giving error.

SPAM/SAINT update cannot be imported.

spam/saint update needs kernel to be updated so i did kernel upgrade to 304.

still i am not able to import .

First If all, you need to download it using Maintainace optimizer

second, you need to apply apply it one by one.
