Dear All,
Kindly suggest the following about Pricing Date.
1. In Sales Order, Pricing Date should be equivalent to Request Delivery Date.
For Example in Sales order, RDD= 01.09.2010, the pricing date of Sales order should be by default 01.09.2010 .
2. In Billing document, when we create billing document -> Pricing Date should be equivalent to Billing creation date
I have checked in the forum and tried with a solution for pricing date = billing creation date but could not proceed.
In vov8-order type i have changed Prop.f.pricing date but could not succeed.
Can any one give solution for the above mentioned two Pricing Date Issue.
Thanks and Regards

redermains the same.

Hi,
The pricing date is proposed based on the setting you make in the Sales document configuration. ( T code : VOV8)
You have a field" Prop.f.pricing date " in the Requested delivery date / pricing date / purchase order date segment.
Then you can choose the follwoing options:
Blank - Indicates the current date as the pricing date
A - Indicates the date based on the requested delivery date
B - Indicates the date based on the order validity start from date
And the pricing in the billing document is copied from thte sales order / Delivery document..
It again depends on the setting u have in the copy control from order - billng or delivery - billing.
In the copy control, in the item settings you have two fields relavant for this.
One is pricing source and the other is pricing type.
The pricing sources are generally the order. But if you want you can change it to other values mentioned in the drop down,
but this values have no effect if the pricing type is B.
Any other value other than B in the pricing type will take the reference document price mentioned in the pricing source field.
but for the pricing type B. The new price is determined in the billing order.
Hope this will help you !!

As mentioned in the earlier posts , in T Code VOV8, if you use A for Prop. f pricing date, then during order processing Pricing date = RDD
If you want Billing date in invoice to be = to RDD then you need to have custom routine in copy controls from delivery to Billing...which will then default the RDD as the pricing date / Billing date.
Also there are few options in the pricing condition type definition for Pricing Date. Please check if any thing will be helpful to your requirement.

Hi All
Thanks to all for the reply. Is there any standard configuration to change the Pricing date as default to the billing creation date.
Ex: if billing date= 13.09.2010, the Pricing date should be by default 13.09.2010. I have tried with the solution above mentioned but could not succeed.
Can anyone suggest me anyother solution, any SAP Note or should i go for Abap changes.

Hi
Pricing date should be equolaent to delivery date as 01.09, but if you cleared the PGI before that date, then the system will take that date as the pricing date in the billing document.
suppose if you are not going with delivery- pgi, then there is one o[ption in the sales order in item level, that service rendered date.If you give one particular date in that field, then the system will pick the pricing date in the billing document based on that Service rendered date only.
Thanks

Hi,
That is right- System propose Prcing date if you maintain "A"- in field- Prop.f.pric.date in VOV8
and in copy control mentione Pricing date as billing date
This will work check again
