Dear All,

I need a solution to change the default password in Excel EPM when it goes to Offline Mode. When i distribute the sheet offline, the sheet is set with default password "PASSWORD". but i want to change this default password to my own password.

Example: i am distributing sheets to 30 different user's for budgeting, so i want to define 30 different password.

Can anyone help me on this?

I hope Mr.Vadim sir will have some scenario on this requirement.

I have already protected the "workbook" before going to offline distribution. Also tried VBA, but is not working( throwing error) to unprotect sheet when it goes for offline distribution wizard. In my input sheet i have kept filter in one column, so After i distribute the sheet to user via email, when user tried to click on the filter icon, it is disabled. for this i need to give default "Password" to uncheck the filter. here i want to change this default Password to my desired password.reference screenshot attached.27-feb-19-11-45-17-am.jpg

Sorry, but you have to use EPM Protection, not Excel protection! It was written many times!

And AutoFilter is not supported for EPM reports...

P.S. Everything is working fine for me - manual EPM protection or VBA code to protect!

Strange idea to accept you own answer - and this answer is not answering your question. Next time I will not answer your questions.

Simply don't go offline without protecting sheet or workbook before:

You can also set EPM protection using VBA!

P.S. API help: https://help.sap.com/viewer/ec68e48b18a44a49abb12b8ee8ae306f/10.0.34/en-US/f9b3df686faf1014878bae8cb...

P.P.S. For sure, default password can't be changed!
