SAP HANA SP12 - CDS equivalent for SUBSTR_REGEXPR() function

Hi All,

As explained in this link the function works well with HANA SQL, but am looking for an equivalent in HANA CDS views. Couldn't find any after searching through the help docs. Please can you suggest an alternative?

If you're bound to a CDS version that does not support a specific SQL function, then implementing the functionality in a SQL view and reference this in your CDS views.

Thank you, have done a Scripted calc view and use this SQL Function in there.
