Line item greyed out in sales order creation

Hi friends,

when we create a sales order,we enter the maiterial and quantity and this line item is in editable mode when we save the order.It becomes greyed only when this sales order is prcessed further say for ex delivery is created.

But In our case when we create a sales order with material and quantity and press enter the line item 10 greys out during creation itself and if we want to change the material we have to delete the line item.

We hope this not a standard sap behaviour.

Please suggest what would be the reason.

Possibities:

1. when it is MTO material the item in the sales order will get gray

and other is 2 . when you do the partial delivery for an item that time also see the Gray mode

3. if u put reason for rejection of that line item also -gray mode

this is only my observation

Hi,

Please check with the help of Abaper for the USEREXIT_FIELD_MODIFICATION why it is happening .

Also try to check with adding 3 -4 line items and see whether it is happening for all the line item.

Please post your result.

Check what code you have in USEREXIT_FIELD_MODIFICATION (include MV45AFZZ). This userexit can be used to set the screen-input on fields to editable or non-editable. See OSS note 208245 on this.

For your information We have not used any sales order related user exits at all.

May be check whether the order can be executed for 10 items and less . Did you try entering the item 11. if so, check it.

just a guess coz none of the above is your solution.

I guess you had set some coding in user exit to control it, kindly check with your abaper to see is there any control set in user exit.

Hi,

Is there any sub item for the line item 10. If the material you have mentioned is a higher level item of any material then there are possibilities that it may be greyed out.

Please check the same.

Hi vijay ,

we dont have any subitem for that line item 10.U mean to say any bom material.

What we have done is the item category group NORM is being assigned two Item categories ZOWN & ZHIRE

please suggest.
