mmbe - issue with pallet stock in batch not counted in the total

We have a material which got a Batch 1001. When i breakdown the level of the material, you can see 3 items ( pallets)

1- 5000

2- 2000

3- 1000

but the total of the material is not 5k2k1k which is 8k . The material batch total is only 2k+1k. which is 3k.

Please let me know as to what to check, in order to know why the 1st pallet 5k unit of stock is not included in the total count of that batch of material?

Thans..

Marilou,

See if https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/68072 is applicable.

May be batch no will be different of first 5k or it wont have any batch no. thats the reason its not adding up to the 3k.

if you want to see the total stock you can check it in MB52.

The total stock is ccorrect. the incorrect one is the total quantity of the batch. i breakdown the batch to see all the 3 pallets. so i assume these 3 pallets all has the same batch number?

is there a transaction code to check pallet materials? or what direction should i go to with the investigation?

can you explain how you breakdown a batch in MMBE? I think batch is the smallest level of stock in inventory managment.

Pallets are storage units in WM, are you using WM?

MMBE-> click the material batch number -> click BREAKDOWN to LEVEL ( F5)

you'll then see breakdown of the 3 item under the breakdown.

the total stocks only equals the 3 item, whereas the 1st pallet of stocks are NOT in the total

e.g. Batch xxxx -

3000unit

xsasdjflfj - 5000unit

1 23kjd34u - 1000 unit

ksjd89jsdf- 2000 unit

instead of having a total of 8k unit, it only has 3k units.

I dont have this F5 breakdown level in my MMBE, are you using a certain enhancement or are you having a special country version or industry version?

hmm... i've check several clients that we're supporting, from 4.0 4.6 and R3 ecc6. all of the MMBE got the breakdown Next Level function.

the instruction to get the different pallets inside that batch, put the cursor in the batch ID, then GOto-> breakdown next level ( F5)

as I already said, I never saw this in 13 years with SAP on about 20 different environments.

I would not even know where to define the pallets that should then kick in.

Can you describe where you maintain this pallet info?

unfortunately, i dont know where these pallets are maintained.

I am checking mb51 of that material/batch and is trying to check if there's a pallet, but still cannot see.

i was just provided with the info and the issue. and is uncertain how to do it now

I would expect that they are maintained in material master and will default to the goods receipt, or directly be entered in goods receipt.

But I guess this is all done with exits or modifications
