Automatic notification to vendor for PO delivery

Dear all.

We have vendor delivery day and vendor email information in vendor master data,

Whether its possible to trigger email notification to vendor before near the vendor delivery day,

for example, if we have a vendor whose delivery day is 30 days, and one PO was created on Aug 1,

so the goods should be delivered before Aug 30, whether it 's posible to send email notification to vendor before Aug 30 automatically, for example we set 10 days before delivery day, so email can be sent on Aug 20?

Please let me know your thoughts on this.

Hi,

Have a look at the reminder functionality within SAP - I believe you can set negative amounts for the number of days from delivery before the reminder is sent out which would fulfill your requirements.

i.e. Delivery Date = 30.08.2010

Reminder 1 (on inforecord or material master - it's copied to the PO when the PO is created) is set to -10.

Then you schedule the reminder job to run each day (trans ME91F). It checks to see if there are eny reminders to send out and in the case above, a reminder would be sent out on the 20.08.2010.
