TMS configuration

Hello guys

I have the following configuration : dev tes prd. (SAP ECC 6.0)

TMS configuration is dev->tes->prd. For productive (prd) I have four instances nod1, nod2, nod3, nod4.

TMS is configured at this time to reach prd by nod1 .Want to stop nodes nod1 and nod2 and use nodes nod3 and nod4.

Now the question is how changes configuration of tms to connect to prd fron nod3.

I was in dev system on stms => system overview =>PRD system => communication => and i edit RFC address => we replaced nod1 with nod3.

But on "distribute TMS configuration" I received the following error :

Internal error in TMS communication

Message no. XT115

Diagnosis

An error occurred in the communication layer of the following SAP system:

System: PRD.ARABESQUE(000)

Function: TMS_PS_GET_DEFAULT_VALUES

Error: INTERNAL_ERROR (1)

System Response

Procedure

The following internal error occurred in the TMS communication layer:1

Can you help me solve this problem ? Thanks.

Best regards,

Once you change the IP addres s check the option to regenerate the RFC destinations and try to reset the user TMSADM and distubute the changes, hope it this will help.

Thanks,

Hello guys

After i change ip in stms , RFC connection change their configuration with new IP and a test seems to be ok.

Meanwhile in the client 000 on dev I checked "TMS alert viewer" and I was notified of this error :

"Could not determine tp profile parameter DBHOST"

I checked if this parameter is set where the connection goes (nod1 and nod2) and indeed this parameter is set .

I checked olso the instances where the connection does not work (nod3 and nod4) and indeed this parameter is not set .

Therefore i guess we should set this parameter in instance mod3 if i want to connect to it .

Now I put two questions :

1) is a problem if i put on instance nod3 where we dont have an Oracle, sap instance parameter SAPDBHOST= ip of oralce instance?

2) If i set this parameter i solve all problems , or we have to consider other factors ?

Because modify the sap parameter require restart of sap instance, and we talk about production system i want to be very sure before instance rebooting
