ValueMappingReplication in PI 7.1

Former Member
0 Kudos

Hello - We are on PI 71 and

I am trying to create the Value mapping in RWB -

>Cache Monitoring by uploading a CSV file from the local PI server which has the value mapping information.

I have configured this scenario and when the CSV file was picked up there was no error in SXMB_MONI and i have success flag. And also my payload has entries correct.

Everything is going well and I am very close to getting these entries into my cache, I guess. But I have this below error, when I went to RWB-Message Monitoring->Adapter Engine ---> Database --->

2010-08-17 18:09:49 Error JPR could not process the message. Reason: Cannot locate proxy bean ValueMappingApplication.*

*2010-08-17 18:09:49 Error Delivering the message to the application using connection JPR failed, due to: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: Error processing inbound message. Exception: Cannot locate proxy bean ValueMappingApplication.*

I also registered my interface at this below link.

http://<Server>:<Port>/ProxyServer/register?ns=http://sap.com/xi/XI/System&interface=ValueMappingRep... &bean=localejbs/sap.com/com.sap.xi.services/ValueMappingApplication &method=valueMappingReplication

Also, I have my technical system defined as WEB AS JAVA associated to my Business system also. Not sure what else to check and how to figure this out. I have searched the SDN but couldn't get the solution.

Please help.

Thanks,

Sekhar

Hi,

Please make sure your application is developed thru the J2EE Visual Admin.

If not, you have to generate (Java Proxy Generation) the Proxy from the Interface in the IR.

I seems that you can register whatever you want even if the application is not there.

http://<server>:<port>/ProxyServer/register?ns=http://sap.com/xi/XI/System&interface=ValueMappingRep...

If you run this it will probably accept it as a valid registration.

Good Luck!

Luis.

HI Luis - We are on Pi 7.1 and we don't have Visual Admin.

This application was developed in IR as File ( CSV file) to Integration Server Scenario. When I went to IR under the Basis--->System name space I don't have an option when right Click to generate the Java Proxy. I am not sure how else can I generate java Proxy for the ValemappingReplciation Interface? Can you tell me how do I generate this Java Proxy for this interface.

Thanks,

Sekhar

Make sure, that you have no spaces in the string at the end of ValueMappingApplication

Check the entries with http://<Server>:<Port>/ProxyServer/listAll

Thank you Amit and Stefan for responding to my question.

The space that you referred in the message was my typo problem not the registration. I did register it and when i did agian i got this below message

"

Interface http://sap.com/xi/XI/System#ValueMappingReplication registered with value localejbs/sap.com/com.sap.xi.services/ValueMappingApplication:valueMappingReplication,overwriting value ValueMappingApplication:valueMappingReplication "

Also, When I list the interfaces, below is the list I got which is right.

http://myNS#myInterface = myBean:myMethod

http://sap.com/xi/XI/System#ValueMappingReplication = localejbs/sap.com/com.sap.xi.services/ValueMappingApplication :valueMappingReplication

http://sap.com/xi/XI/System#ValueMappingReplication = localejbs/sap.com/com.sap.xi.services/ValueMappingApplication:valueMappingReplication

http://sap.com/xi/XI/System#ValueMappingReplicationOutSynchronous = localejbs/sap.com/com.sap.xi.services/ValueMappingApplicationSynchronous:ValueMappingReplicationOutSynchronous

http://sap.com/xi/XI/System#ValueMappingReplicationSynchronous = localejbs/sap.com/com.sap.xi.services/ValueMappingApplicationSynchronous:valueMappingReplicationSynchronous

5 interfaces found

so, Not sure what else I am missing. Any more ideas?

One more thing I observed while going through SAP help, When I go to RWB-->Cache Monitoring-> Cache Instance---> I have these 3 components in the drop down.

i) Integration Server ( ABAP Cache)

ii) Central Adapter Engine

iii)Mapping Runtime Cache( Central Adapter Engine)

According to SAP help I should have another component "Integration Server ( Java Cache)" for updating the cache Entries.

Right now , I go to Cache Monitroing--->Cache Instance ->Mapping Runtime Cache--> as cache instance

and cache object as "Value Mapping Groups". I am not sure if "Integration Server (java cache)" should be there or i should not worry about. Please help.

Thanks,

Sekhar

Hi,

U have registered same interface twice(one with space in between and the other one without having any space).

Just try this:

unregister the proxy bean having this URL (space in between):

http://sap.com/xi/XI/System#ValueMappingReplication = localejbs/sap.com/com.sap.xi.services/ValueMappingApplication :valueMappingReplication

and let the other one(without any space) be there.

I am not sure if "Integration Server (java cache)" should be there or i should not worry about. Please help.

I dont think that this will create any problem becoz my system also have only these 3 entries under cache monitoring and my VMR is working fine.

You need not generate the Java proxy by yourself, as this is provided by SAP and available in evey PI system.

I have noticed that in your trace are different servers for PI and Java proxy:

The Java proxy should be addressed on the same server as PI.

Thanks to all you guys Amit, Luis,Stefan . Your answers helped me to progress and I was able to by pass the previous error.

When I tried my csv file with fewer rows it was updated in Runtime Cache!!! Good ..right!!!

But when I tried with big load or even wiht 50 rows it is throwing me below exception. Bad!!!

But I have a different error now. I am pasting the audit log that i have from the message.

Open an OSS ticket for this. I have already an open ticket for almost three month now. A second ticket for the same issue might speed this up

Hi Stefan - Hmmmmm.....So, You had the same issue, same error in the audit log for which you opened a OSS note?

I already opened a not with SAP last week they have not responded yet. Is there any other workaround till SAP responds to this? I mean any other way this Mass Upload ( valuemapping) into runtime cache can be achieved?

Thanks,

Sekhar

When I have understood the answer from SAP, then the values are stored in the value mapping table anyway.

Could you verify this in the runtime cache?

HI Stefan - I understood from your reply that you are asking me to tell you what do I see in Runtime Cache Monitoring...

When I go to that URL Runtime Cache monitoring, I select

Cache Instance - Mapping Runtime Cache ( Central Adapter engine) ( selected from the Drop down)

Cache Object - "Value Mapping Groups" ( selected from the Drop down)

This is where I was expecting values to be populated. But since I have the below error in my audit log , I don't have any values.

so, basically it keeps on retrying to deliver the message and set the status to " To Be Delivered". Even when we restarted the PI the messages still did not go through and I have this below error.

2010-08-24 20:29:30 Error Delivering the message to the application using connection JPR failed, due to: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException:

What is the size of your message which includes the value mapping data?

Former Member

Stefan - Thanks a lot for your response.

The Valuemapping files that I was trying to process originally was two 62KB size CSV files ( SAP data and Third Party system Data) both will have 1500 + 1500 = 3000 records.

But I even tried with 2Kb files with fewer records ( 3 records each file) I got this same above error exception. That's why I am confused.

Thanks,

Sekhar.

When I was working with 2 CSV files one for the SAP and other for the Third party values and when I had placed both files together for PI to process the transaction rolled backs gave above error but When i do it individually it worked.

Let me know if you need more details..

Hi,

This error signifies that JPR cannot find ur registered proxy bean.

I am seeing some spaces in between ur URL, remove them and then register it again.

http://<Server>:<Port>/ProxyServer/register?ns=http://sap.com/xi/XI/System&interface=ValueMappingRep...

Thanks

Amit
