I ran an Integrity test on a few of our universes and It picked up a lot of table divergencies. These consist mostly of added columns and column data type changes. Although all the reports are working, are there any adverse effects of not regularly updating the Universe to reflect the underlying database structure.
If a report does not contain any universe objects that have been changed in the database then it should be not unaffected in my opinion, but would the overall report performance be affected in any way.
If there is any suitable documentation I would like to be able to read it.

Morning Peter,
Not doing regular refreshes of the universe structure doesn't affect the report performance.
The only downside of not refreshing the universe structure on a regular basis is that you don't see the latest changes to the data warehouse in the universe.
