I have created categories, attributes, values in the SRM-MDM-Catalog 3.0
I have also created the link between the categories and attributes. I am able to see these categories, attributes in the Data Manager. I have assigned these attributes to some catalog items/products in the Data Manager.
Now in the UI Configuration, In the General Tab, Search, Use Attribute Search is set to YES. Then use the attribute if priority is higher than - is set to 1. I am able to see the attribute/values in the details screen of UI in the browser.
Inspite of these settings, I am not able to search based on the attributes and values. I can search based on the Categories in the tree node search.
I wanted to drill down from Categories to attributes to values in the tree node structure.
Is this possible?
How can i do the same?
Hi Sudha.
Are you looking for a requirement to drill down the search based on the Hierarchy Tree, then attributes and then to values.
If yes, this must work for you if you have the settings "Use Attribute Search is set to YES".
You have mentioned that you are able to see the attribute values in the Item Details screen right? Then this is also possible.
Can you check the following options:
1. In the Configuration Screen, check if you have selected "Taxonomy" as the hierarchy in the dropdown. (By default it will be Hierarchy). Save it.
2. If you select a hiearchy node/child in the tree structure which has attributes and values, Check if you are able to see 2 containers (For attribute names and values) next to the Taxonomy tree in the search UI.

Bala,
I got this thing to work.
We need to create Attributes/Values as usual in Data Manager. We nned to set the priority properly. In GUI we need to set Yes for Attributes and adjust the priority.
Thanks
