Hi Gurus,

Would like to ask on how we can determine the number of segments in our COA? Ex. mandatory, user defined, etc.

I cannot find the path in ECC.

Is it also possible to define the length of the individual segments, to have mandatory input values, OR Can any segment be restricted with a certain list of values or define valid combinations between the segments.

Hi,

As per your query ... you want to restrict number of digits while creating GL Account..

Define different account groups under OBD4 and define number ranges in that each group.According to this group it will allow you to create GL Account in that particular range.

Here you can process the layout of the segments.

GL account field settings based on account group where you create account groups in OBD4.
