"Select Schema" while opening a catalog

Hi all,

Can you please help me with this catalog issue?

While uploading the procurement schema for one of the exisitng catalog, by mistake we used some incorrect value in the schema field in the upload file. Instead of X we put Y. Hence it gave us the error "Unable to create schema Y because schema X already exists" while uploading. We thought, the incorrect schema Y didn't get updated in the catalog.

But when we open that catalog from Shop one screen, it is showing one screen with the field "Select Schema" and Continue button. In the drill down, it is giving us the two schemas X and Y. If we select X, then it is displaying all the categories of that catalog with the respecitve items. If we select Y, then it is displaying only the categories and not the items. Earlier, it used to directly display the categories.

Can you please help me to get rid of this new screen? I checked the procurment catelog in Edit Catalog transaction. There I could see only the schema X.

Thanks.

Arun

It is because it has multiple schemas, its displaying that option. Check to see if you can delete the catalog with /CCM/CLEANUP_CATALOG and re work with your schema X. You will have to redo your entire catalog process in this case. I had the similar scenario in early of the project implementation so I could afford to redo the process.

Thank you, Surya.

I am also thinking of recreating the catalog. But under Edit catalog transaction, in this procurement catalog I could see only one schema. Not sure, how it is showing multiple schemas in the catalog screen.

Thanks.

Hi Arun,

In SE38 check the report /CCM/VERIFY_CATALOG for the affected catalog (process AI) and include Header data, see if one or two schemas are reported in the AI version, if only one, you may be able to get away with just de-publishing, the republishing the catalog to generate a fresh SE version.
