New Item category Determination in delivery

Hi Experts ,

I want new item category to be determined in delivery i did all the customisation for Del Item category to be determined in IMG ,any suggestions in this .

Hi,

You have to define the new item categories for the deliveries in the IMG

path:

IMG-->LOGISTICS EXECUTION-->SHIPPING-->DELIVERIES-->DEFINE ITEM CATEGORIES

After defining the Item categories yo have to assing the item categories to the delivery documents in the IMG

Path:

IMG-->LE-->SHIPPING-->DELIVERIES-->DEFINE ITEM CATEGORY DETERMINATION IN DELIVERIES

here you have to assign the default item categories for the

DELIVERY DOCUMENT TYPE

ITEM CATEGORY GROUP

USAGE

HIGHER LEVEL ITEM CATEGORY

for the above combination assign the default item category and save

Now the item category will be atomatically determined in the transaciton of delivery creation once you create the delivery

Please check the above settings and revert

as harry says maintain the settings for item category determination in tcode 0184. Menu path SPRO->Logistics Execution ->Shipping ->Deliveries->define item category determination in deliveries

Item category is determined on the basis of doc type (delivery tpe), item category group (material master), usage (if any), higher level item category - this will lead to proposed item category. you may give predefine ietm category as manual item categories. Manual item categories are to be selected during the course of delivery creation.

Hi.

1. You have to maintain the item category determination in tcode 0184 firstly.

2. In delivery, you can only input the alternative item category when creating the item. (when input material and quantity, you have to input the alternative item category at the same time). Once the item is created, you can not change the item category any more.
