Hi Gurus,

I am doing an MRP run and within the Planning Horizon i am getting a Purchase Requsitions created outside of it there is a planned order getting created.

In the Master Data i have the Planning Time Fence and MRP Type P1 , but i dont see the Purchase Requisition being firmed automatically , is it possible for some one of you throw some light on it.

Thanks

Balaji

Balaji,

Please set the Firming indicator for MRP Type in customization SPRO and also check for the Reorder Point and maximum stock.

if current stock is under the tolerance level of maximum stock, PR will not be firmed.

Jurgen,

Thank u , the Firming Type Setup is there.

Raghavan,

This is totally a new material and no stock as of now. I am just doing a new MRP run based on the forecast and it creates a req but not firmed.

Re-Order Point and Maximum Stock level both are blank in the Material Master.

Thanks

P1 is probably your MRP type, but not he firming type.

go into the detail of P1 in customizing. the firming type is a 1 character field only with following options:

0 Planning results not firmed

1 Automatic firming and order proposals rescheduled out

2 Automatic firming without order proposal

3 Manual firming and order proposals rescheduled out

4 Manual firming without order proposal

Hi Jurgen,,

The Firming Type 1 is selected in the MRP type P1.

Thanks

Order proposals that lie within the Planning Time Fence are firmed for the planning run if they are set to an MRP type with the appropriate Firming Type. You can set the planning time fence in the material master or per MRP group in Customizing.

The firming indicator is, however, not set and they are only firm as long as they lie within the planning time fence.

Aug 17 is outside your planning horizon.

try with a planning horizon that is longer, just to see if it gets firmed.

Hello Jurgen,

Great. The Requisition got Firmed. Thank you so much.

So the principle should be the Planning Horizon should be greater than the Lead time atleast by a day so that the Requisition gets confirmed and during the next MRP run it is not being affected.

Hello Jurgen,

Please can you help me in one more functionality. I am uploading the Planned Independent requirements on a Monthly bucket into the MD62 transaction. But i need it to be splitted into Weekly buckets uniformly , i know if we go to the schedule line tab and select the splitting indicator option and enter it as Week ( W) it splits up equally. But this approach can be done if its only one to 10 material.

How can i get it covert 1000 materials which are loaded into the monthly buckets into a Weekly buckets in click. Is there is any Master Data which can help in doing that. The Splitting Indicator in the MRP view will help to do this ? pleasecan you give ur expert advise.

Thanks

Balaji

in customizing of MRP type , you should see a field called firming type.

here you can control the firming

IMG > MM > CBP > Master Data > Check MRP Types
