Hi,
I have used "EMPLOYEE_SKILLSPROFILE_SERVICE" in ESS. The requirement is that whenever user updates his skills, the manager should get a mail.
And on clicking of the link, the manager should be able to see the updated data. Along with this, a manager should also be able to see a link in MSS tab, from which he can see an employees skill set.
Kindly help. I am quite new to this area. Workflow part is not my concern. my concern is to show data in MSS tab.
Thanks & Regards,
Shruti
Hi,
Although you mention that workflow is not your part but your requirement is only achieve able by setting up a workflow. And for the employee skill, there should be standard iview to do that. EHP4 have more iview and function regarding talent and performance management.
The requirement is that whenever user updates his skills, the manager should get a mail = set up workflow to send email with link to the work object
And on clicking of the link, the manager should be able to see the updated data = the link in the email (sbwp) is set up to open transaction in the sap gui.
Along with this, a manager should also be able to see a link in MSS tab, from which he can see an employees skill set. = Use UWL, and the link in the uwl must be configure to call the iview

From EHP4 there is something called Talent management which is available in MSS and as a independent role
as well,
But below these releases you need to make a custom report in MSS reports section to query the skills
infotype for the pernr this is the easiest solution

Shruti,
You should find out which tables are storing details regarding employee skills. If you know you can develop a custom application that shows the details of skills of each employee of a particular manager
