Dear experts,

I have reconfigured our portal to connect to the ABAP backend via HTTPS instead of HTTP. I have added a CA certificate response + CA chain and strustsso2 is happy. When I try to use a tab that links to the backend system (portal and backend are in the same domain) I get an "content was blocked because it was not signed by valid security certificate" i get this message with httpwatch:

Submit form - Browser submitted values to etc etc COMPLETED
Started at - date COMPLETED
Connect - Connect to IP address "IP of backend ABAP system" INET_E_INVALID_CERTIFICATE

I can call the link if i reconfigure the portal to use plain http.

SMICM is configured for https

Portal ITS and Web AS are both set to HTTPS including https abap ports.

strustsso2 SSL Server Standard is OK (well, strustsso2 tells me it is ok)

I have 2 doubts:

- strustsso2 SSL Server standard was setup in test client used by portal not in clnt 000 - is this ok?

-does the portal need a new certificate for the backend system SSL Server Standard or is it only used for SSO? (

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

      Hi Tarun,

I simply enabled SSL parameter in the content server of the ABAP system.

How to do that (if you want to try see if it helps on your problem aswell)

go to SICF -> default_host -> sap -> bc > contentserver (double click)

goto Logon Data tab -> mark SSL in "Security Requirement".

I hope it can help you Tarun!

      Best Regards,
