Ess/Mss Global variable to read in BADI

Hi friends,

I need to check inside a badi (appraisal), if the person is login through ess(employee) or mss(manager). Is there any global variable for this?

Anu,

This is just a workaround .As soon as user logs into portal and use either ESS or MSS then it should be calling some backend applications.find them and do some implicit enhancements to store some data in a z table or memory for eg ESS or MSS and access that value in the badi

Is there any transaction in SAP, to access Talent Management infotyes (7402/03/04/...) similar to PA30, where we can view and edit data (without portal)?

If sy-uname eq appraiser_id, the logon is by the Manager. Again it depends on the BAdI ie if the appraiser/appraisee information is avialble in the BAdI.
