How to delete or add master data (Dimensions) from front end In Input template

Hi Experts,

I have requirement to delete or add new master data from input schedule. Is it possible is yes then how ?

for an example i am having in M_Store user define dimension i am having STORE1 , STORE2 ...STORE 20 .

Now user want to delete STORE2 or want to add new store STORE21 from input schedule and after deletion he want to only remove that STORE2 but not history like for budget 2016 he used that STORE2 to enter values and if we remove data from calculation on that case the budget 2016 will display a wrong budget so in my requirement user can see history also .

This is NOT possible!

You can only move it to another parent like NOTUSED.

If you want to add master data in Excel you will have to implement badi: https://archive.sap.com/documents/docs/DOC-4276

Sorry, but you are explaining the strange scenario! We are using BPC, not Excel 🙂

You need a very serious reason to delete master data - transactional data has to be deleted before deleting master data.

In some cases you can use Time Dependent Hierarchy to move base members between parents.
