F4 help to additional attributes - Info req. on FM ZTEST_DC

Hi Experts,

My requirement is attaching search help to additional attributes.

I have created 3 function module for this .

1. ztest

2. ztest_dc

3. ztest_F4

I am showing code and description in F4 help.

This works successful and I am able to see my code and description in F4 help properly.

Now what I want is when I select the code it's description should appear in the field as the standard works.

if I select code 15, it shows 15 in the field.

but if we would have maintained its value in characteristic maintenance with its text, then on enter its description would have shown in the field.

I want to have same effect while using function module for F4 help.

For same purpose we can use ztest_dc function module.

But i am not getting which field to update so that I can see description in the filed.

Need Help.

Hi Sunil,

If you kept the codes then it will show only codes. While creating z-functional module remove the code field and replace it with description for displaying description. In F4 help only one field will be supported either codes or description. It works in manual entries without F4 help.

In F4 help I am able show both, code as well as description.

when we select code then code gets populated in field.

upto this there is no problem.

once it is populated in field and if we say enter,

1 ) if we would have maintained code and description in characteristic maintenance

---it description comes automatically in place of code.

2) if we are using function modules to populate

---description wont come. Code remains as it is.

Now I want to make use of ZTEST_DC and achieve this.

Need Suggestions.
