Is it possible to segment a regression model in Predictive Factory?

I watched a video showing how to segment a time series model in Predictive Factory. I use regression models and I would like to segment them too. But there is no button on the user interface to segment the model as shown in the video. Is the because it is not possible to segment a regression model? Or do I need to configure Predicitve Factory somehow to perform segmentation?

Hello David, segmentation in Predictive Factory is only available for time series models.

Let me know if anything is unclear! You are right that in general Python would be a more "modern" option to achieve what you are looking for.

One possible workaround one could think of would be to use some scripting logic to loop through the creation of multiple regression models.

We have a scripting environment named KxShell script that can help with this, or using the APL library in SAP HANA could be another option.

I got the impression that KxShell is for "driving" the Automated Analytics desktop software so you don't have to click around on the user interface -- is that accurate? I also heard that Python scripting is now supported -- does that duplicate the functionality of KxShell or does that do something different?
