Dear all,
We are working in a Group COA and there is a peculiar problem persists while creating a group asset.
The group asset is supplied with a dummy No. i.e. NO DEPRECIATION AND NO INTEREST.
While I want to create a group asset A, and furthermore a single asset that would belong to the group asset A that would be in the no. 00001 and so on.
When I create a group asset with Depr. key that is pertaining to the single asset, it is not accepting. But if I give the depr. start date, it is getting saved.
While making the GRN for asset purchase, it should automatically update the capitalization date and start date of depr.
What is happening ?
Pl. explan.
Thanks,
JEERI
Friend,
Dont use Group asset functionality. There are so many bugs in that functionality. SAP itself released a not for not using the Group asset functioanlity.
SAP is going to provide solution in ECC 6.0 ( Ehp5- Enhancement pack 5) for Group asset

What are you referring to? Virtually every Oil&Gas customer in the world uses group asset functionality. Same thing in the Telecom and Utilities industries. The functionality works fine. I'm also not aware of any OSS note where SAP has specifically said not to use it. If you can provide it that would be beneficial.
