CTM Demand Prioritization and Lot for Lot

Hi All,

Our business as a requirement that they wish to prioritize Sales Orders, Forecast and Safety Stock in that repsective order in Demand / Supply Propagation and in capacity leveling. I realise that CTM would do this job. However I have concern that if we want to pass prioritised demand from the DC's to the factories, does this mean we will have to use lot for lot lot sizing? My concern is that this will cause massive amounts of purchase requisitions and planned orders. Inparticularly for planned orders, the business has specified that they only want one planned order per weekly bucket, which seems to be a conflict in requirement.

Can someone advise what is possible to help me meet our business requirements

Hi,

If Capable-to-Match (CTM) creates orders, the system uses all lot sizes in the location product master except the periodic lot size and the reorder point method. However, CTM uses the lot sizes only for the main output product . If you use the lot size profile in the transportation lane, you can specify different lot sizes for in-house production and stock transfer.
